2nd Annual Harvest Festival
is around the corner. Join us on November 5th for a day of family fun,
workshops. The Festival is FREE but registration is recommended. Open to the Public.
Kids Segment (11 am-1 pm): Featuring a farmer’s show and tell, Griot Storyteller, fitness fun, pumpkin carving, and Hay Rides
Living Off The Land Workshops (2 pm-4 pm): Join us as we discuss topics relating to Harvest. We will highlight a significant cultural tradition called Hog Killing. We will also discuss the history of African Americans as farmers on the Lower Shore. We’ll then wrap up the segment with a panel of local people who explain their experience of living and working on the farm
Food Tasting (4 pm): We’ll wrap up the day by featuring food that are staple on the Lower Eastern Shore. Platters will start at $10.
